The Nkialwa Heseiname Bau (Nkialwa Students’ Union) organised a felicitation programme- a day of appreciation, a day of encouragement, and motivation for the HSLC and HSSLC passed-out students at Nkialwa village local church on May 11.

PEREN, MAY 12 (MExN): The Nkialwa Heseiname Bau (NHB, Nkialwa Students’ Union) organised a felicitation programme- a day of appreciation, a day of encouragement, and motivation for the HSLC and HSSLC passed-out students at Nkialwa village local church on May 11.
The felicitation event was graced by Kingsalt Hegwang, Zeliang Students’ Union (ZLSU) president as chief guest. In his address, Hegwang congratulated and acknowledged the efforts of the students in achieving such a feat, and encouraged the students to follow their passions and believe in their dreams. He further stated that the Zeliang tribe is not lesser or inferior to any other forward tribe. He reiterated that the union, as the tribal students’ body, will be resolutely behind the students in every field and therefore urged the students to give their best in every area of their respective field.
On behalf of the ZLSU, he also announced a cash award to the students of Nkialwa village if any of the students secure 90% and above in the next HSLC and HSSLC examinations in 2025.
ZLSU vice president Rampaukulung also encouraged all the 13 passed-out students from the village to pursue their dreams. He further stated that looking at the passed percentage from the village the students’ performances are very encouraging and they have enough potential to crack any exams if they have the perseverance.
Village secretary Igangbeu Siarau also applauded the ZLSU for having great concern for the students' community. He further encouraged the students to strive hard as they are the assets of the village. Local pastor, Kiramdi Nren encouraged the passed out students with the words of God from the Bible and blessed the students.
Earlier, the welcome note was presented by Keyinreulu Nren, NHB president who claimed that after the NHB started a ‘Prayer Day’ on the 4th of January every year since 2011, the union has experienced a continuous increase of passing-out students every year, where they are witnessing the blessing of ‘putting God first’ in our lives.
The event was chaired by Keyilungchi Rangkau, NHB secretary, a special number was presented by Tateilu Nren, and the Sunday school department and vote of thanks was delivered by Lunliabeu Nren, NHB vice president.
The programme was attended by village council members, village women's society members, local church council members, village youth organization members, senior student leaders, and Sunday school students. The program concluded with a word of prayer pronounced by Ikielu Rangkau, village council member.
