NMC informs on OPD services through Volunteered Health Professionals

Kohima, April 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed that OPD services will be provided through Volunteered Health professionals. 


A DIPR report stated that a very good number of doctors including Retired Doctors, Nurses and other Health professionals have volunteered their service and in this connection, the Nagaland Medical Council has stated that through the volunteers the OPD services will be given in the following Centres covering four Districts. The Services may be extended to other areas as per need and availability of volunteered Health Professionals.


Kohima: Agri Forest Sub Centre, Para Medical Training Institute (PMTI)


Dimapur: Diphubar SC, Kachari Gaon SC


Mokokchung: Town SC/ Aongza SC


Wokha: Wokha Town SC


The following members Volunteers will be working as coordinator for the project:


State coordinator: Dr. Joyce Angami, President NMC and Dr Sashimeren Aier, Vice President NMC 


Kohima District: Dr P Ngully


Dimapur: Dr Tia Naga


Mokokchung: Dr Yangerla 


Wokha: Dr M Kithan


The Chief Medical Officers have been requested to extend all necessary supports and services to the volunteered Medical personnel and the identified Health centres. The District Coordinators will coordinate with the respective CMOs and the volunteered Health personnel for successful implementation. The NMC is committed to extend all support to the Government in this fight against the COVID-19 and looking forward for more participation.
