
Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): President of the Nagaland Medical Dealers Association (NMDA) A Ato Yepthomi today voiced out against “the claims in Social Media that the Association had called any bandh or any claims of lack of communication between Police officials and the personnel on duty.”
The release stated that the medicine dealers of NL Road area had gathered together waiting for Police to receive the order to open Sosino Market area (Medical Market). After the market was opened, the medicine dealers went in, it added.
“NMDA has urged upon the concerned people not to spread false propaganda and take legal action against those who have spread wrong message in the name of the Association,” the release stated.
Conducts medical camp at DDSC quarantine centre
NMDA in collaboration with the District Administration organized a Medical Camp for the quarantined inmates including pregnant women at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur on April 23.
According to a press release from NMDA President A Ato Yepthomi and General Secretary Basu Damani, the team of doctors comprising of Dr Sundar Pareek, Dr Diliangbo Chawang and Dr Sunepenla Jamir, was led by Basu Damani.
It said that there were “no serious medical ailments except skin infection and general ailments.”
Face masks, hand gloves and medicines as per requirement, were given out during the medical camp, it said. The team of doctors also educated the inmates on ways to maintain personal hygiene, the release stated.
Further, the NMDA President in the press release assured the administration of all possible cooperation from the Association.
