Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The All Naga Catholic’s Federation (ANCF) on Tuesday said that enduring peace in the entire Naga areas would not be possible until all Naga political groups come together and hammer out the differences at the earliest possible time.
The federation held a consultative meeting at Dimapur on November 7-8 with the theme ‘Reconciliation through the Mercy of God’ to convey a message of ‘Reconciliation’ to all the Naga National groups, particularly the NSCN (IM) and the WC, NNPGS, to navigate the present challenges face by the Nagas, it stated in a press release.
“As Naga Catholic Christian’s, we believe in goodness of every human being and do not doubt that better sense shall prevail among the conflicting social groups or nations, if only each of such groups desire ‘reconciliation’ and commit themselves to arriving at it,” it added.
The federation said that it had also discussed the need to extend support to the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks with “One Naga, One Solution” and inclusiveness for a peaceful and lasting solution to the Naga political issue, during the two-day consultative meeting, and as such, appealed to the Naga political groups to meet and address all the outstanding differences through dialogue, explore ways to find a common ground and strive for an early solution to the Naga political issue.
