No fresh cancellation of trains, NF Railways clarify

Maligaon, September 25 (MExN): The North East Frontiers Railway (NFR) authorities today categorically stated that there is no need for confusion confusions among travelling public as “that it has not cancelled any train now.”   “In fact, railway engineers and workers are working relentlessly to remove all bottlenecks to normalize train services,” a press release from NFR stated rebutting reports in section of media regarding cancellation of more than 45 trains by NFR.   “For the benefit of the public, N.F Railway authority would like to clarify the issue and set to rest all speculations,” said the release issued by Pranav Jyoti Sharma, NFR Chief Public Relations Officer.   While unprecedented flood had caused heavy damage to bridges and tracks in Bihar & West Bengal in first week of August leading to disruption more than 80 mail/express or passenger to Kolkata, Delhi and South India, it informed that most of the services are restored by now.   “Some of the trains cancelled in August, 2017 could not be restored yet and the period of their cancellation has to be extended further. This extension of the cancellation has been wrongly interpreted as new cancellation,” it further clarified.   “We would like to reiterate here that there has been no fresh cancellation of trains. We are restoring all trains in phases and all other trains would be restored as soon as repair works of bridges & tracks are completed,” the NFR release further added.   According to NFR, while a total of 36 pairs of long-distance passenger trains were restored between September 2-21, fifty mail/express trains services will be restored by October first week.   The list of trains mail/express trains restored so far is given below:
