The Northern Angami Women Organisation (NAWO) inaugurated its Conference Hall at PWD colony on December 15.
Dr Neikesalie Nicky Kire, Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs inaugurated the Hall with a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Kehoulelie Zatsu.
At the inaugural, Dr Kire acknowledged the NAWO for their efforts towards society and having achieved such milestone in the completion of a grand conference hall. “This is a sign of unity and togetherness in your organisation. This Hall is a testimony of trust and understanding among your team,” said Dr Kire.
Reminding the gathering of the saying 'A house is built by hands but a home is built by hearts', Dr Kire expressed appreciation on the heart that has been put in the construction of the conference Hall by the NAWO team.
Dr Kire also exhorted the organisation by emphasising on the three Ts- Togetherness, Truthfulness and Trust. According to the Advisor, these three Ts are essential in strengthening any organisation or group.
“It requires a lot of integrity and honesty to strengthen an organisation. Trusting each other will enable you to work well in the long term,” said Dr Kire while sharing his own experiences working in organizations and groups. He also noted that interacting and meeting more often also enables better understanding in a group.
Having worked in various platforms, Dr. Kire noted that working in organisations brings diverse people with diverse opinions and ideas. Hence, he advised the organisation to be cautious and take great care in accomodating diverse opinions. But most importantly, Dr. Kire exhorted the team to put God first.
NAWO elects new office bearers
A general conference was also held alongside the inaugural. The general conference also announced the newly elected members for the tenure 2021-2023. Thinuoheü Lhoucü was elected the new President of NAWO along with Neiphrezonuo as the Vice President. The other executives include Luotuonuo Tseikha as General Secretary, Kereinuo as Joint Secretary, Zasikhonuo Seyie as Treasurer, Tabunuo Mere as Finance Secretary, and Theyietuonuo Rutsa and Thenuchaü Zumvu as Advisors. Newly elected President Thinuoheü Lhoucü in a brief speech assured the gathering that she and her team will give their best in safeguarding and strengthening the organisation.
