The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Youth Wing today held its meeting cum pre-Christmas celebration here at NPF Headquarter.

Speaking on the occasion as the guest speaker, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu called upon the youth to contribute to the party in whatever manner they can. He said that monetary is not only the means of contribution to the party. Azo, who is incharge of NPF Youth Wing said that one also need to contribute to the party in the form of “your service, your time, your prayer, your support and your goodwill.” He also called upon the youth to have patient, adding “If we are patient, we will be rewarded.” Further, Azo also stressed on the need to do away with inferiority complex and negativity.

NPF Dimapur division president T. Lotha said that Christmas is a time for peace and reconciliation, a time to forgive one another, a time to show love and ask for forgiveness. Stating that youths are the pillars and backbone of any given organization especially a political party, he urged upon the youth to commit and rededicate themselves in the service of the party as the future belong to them. “We must also adapt with the fast changing world. We need to have a vision. Our plans and policies should go in tune with the fast changing times,” he said. He also called upon the youth to be pro active and exhibit the art of patience and act with utmost maturity while discharging their duties. “Discipline and loyalty to the party should be your mantra always,” he said.

Bishnu Battarcharjee, president NPF Minority Wing and Yanhola, president NPF central women wing also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, NPF Central Youth Wing president N. Vihoshe Swu delivered welcome address. The programme was chaired by S. Medom, working president NPF Central Youth Wing while vote of thanks was proposed by Supoyi Vezhu, vice president NPF Central Youth Wing.
