NSCN (IM) mourns

Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) mourned the demise of its members Major (Retired) Jisangwo Makuri and tatar Tunchapbo Thiumai.

 

Makuri who joined the Naga national service in November 1982 was a member of Steering Committee, from Khongjiri village under Saramati Region. He passed away on April 16 after a prolonged illness.

 

Tunchapbo Thiumai Tatar, from Nkhen (Makhan) village under Makuilongdi Region, passed away on April 17. He joined Naga national service since 1961 and later on joined NSCN in 2012.

 

“They both served the Naga nation with unwavering national spirit until their demise. The void created by their demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in. For their selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, their names shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and their sacrifices for Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all,” a condolence message from the NSCN (IM) MIP stated.

 

Meanwhile, the Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) Convener and member of Collective Leadership Moba Chang also mourned the demise of Maj. (Retd.) Jisangwu and expressed heartfelt condolences. He paid his respect to him and acknowledged him as a man who dedicated his life for the Naga national cause.

 

The NSCN (IM) conveyed its condolences to both the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
