NSCN (IM), NSWON mourns

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the untimely demise of Aseno Tongsin, Tatar, from Ralruwng village under Khurmi Region, who passed away on January 15. Late Tongsin who enrolled in the Naga national service on January 21, 2003, was the wife of Ts Thumpa Turiim, member of the Collective Leadership. 

 “For her selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, her name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and her sacrifice for the Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all,” it said in a condolence message on Friday, as it conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and close friends.

In a separate message, the National Socialist Women's Organisation of Nagalim (NSWON) stated that, “the Naga nation has lost a God fearing mother and a nationalist who upheld the national principle and stood steadfast for the Naga national cause.”

Stating that it is deeply saddened by her demise, the organisation said that it would “cherish the invaluable sacrifice rendered by her in times of hardships and trials of the nation.”
