Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today mourned the demise of Captain (Retired) VS Mayami, Leacy, from Kachai village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) on April 26 after a prolonged illness. Mayami joined “the Naga national service in October, 1997, and served the Naga nation with unwavering national spirit until his demise”, a condolence message from the MIP, NSCN (IM) stated.
“The void created by his demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in. For his selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifices for Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all,” it said. The NSCN (IM) conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace and rest for the departed soul.
