NTC urges Centre to display sincerity in solving Naga political issue

Kohima, December 29 (MExN): While appreciating the decision of the NSCN/GPRN led by Gen (Retd) Niki Sumi, to revive the ceasefire with the Government of India and the latter’s ‘favourable signs in response to the new development,’ the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has urged the GoI to solve the long drawn Naga political issue without further delay. In a statement issued by its President Toniho Yepthomi and General Secretary Nribemo Ngullie on Tuesday, the NTC stated that all ‘major’ NPGs are taking part now in the negotiations to solve the long drawn Naga political issue and urged upon the GOI to “exhibit its sincerity in its effort to work out to find an honourable and acceptable solution to the vexed Naga Political issue without further delay.”
