Orientation training on COVID-19 in Mkg

Mokokchung, April 19 (MExN): As a continuous effort in the prevention of the deadly COVID-19, an orientation training programme was held for the staff of different hotels, guest houses and lodges in Mokokchung town on April 18.
According to updates from the office of the Mokokchung Chief Medical Office, resource person Dr Aonungdok spoke on the symptoms, diagnosis, prevention and control measures, and potential transmission via food etc, of COVID-19. He also highlighted about the survival on COVID-19, precautions, physical distancing, stringent hygiene and sanitation measures that are to be followed in order to prevent transmission of the virus.
Dr Tsipongchem spoke on how to deal with environmental decontamination, cleaning protocols for items used by patients with COVID-19, etc and bio medical waste management.
The trainees were shown how to make proper use of masks, gloves and their disposal while a short video on proper hand washing and bio medical waste management was also shown, the updates stated.
Meanwhile another session of the orientation training was also held the same day among the catering committee, housekeeping staff in the Quarantine Centres with representatives from District Administration, Watsu Mungdang, AKM, Drug Inspector attended the training.
