DIMAPUR, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The Power Department today informed that there will be electricity shutdowns in Dimapur and Peren districts on January 16 and 18. This is being necessitated for installation of new protection system at 2x100MVA 132/66/33kV substations. Consumers availing power from the concerned substations will be affected. On January 16, consumers drawing power from the 66/11kV Sovima substation, 66/11kV Chumoukedima substation, 66/11kV Burma Camp substation (Power House), 66/33/11kV Dairy Farm substation, 66/33/11Kv Nito Farm substation, 66/33/11kv Ganeshnagar substation and 33/11kV substation will be affected from 6:00am to 1:00pm. Meanwhile on January 18, consumers availing electricity from the 33/11kV Supermarket substation, 33/11kV Referral substation, 33/11kV Industrial Estate substation, 33/11kV Metha substation and 33/11kV Medziphema substation will be affected from 6:00am to 1:00pm. A press release from Er SI Asangba Tikhir, Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Dimapur urged the affected consumers to bear with the inconvenience.
