Private schools society in Kiphire strengthen teachers

Kiphire: Two days orientation programme for private teachers organized by the Kiphire District Private Schools Society, which commenced on April 4 under the theme ‘alternative therapeutic intervention in education’ at Hopongkyu Memorial hall with SDO (C) Kiphire Dr Tinojungshi Chang as special guest concluded today.

Addressing the teachers in the inaugural session, Dr Chang said, “learning is an ongoing process that is also complex but with the responsibilities that is assigned to each one of us as teachers we have to discharge ones commitment with dedication and sincerity.”

Lauding the private schools for dedicated service he said, “government has invested enough resource in government schools but result are better in private schools.” He added that as per the latest DISE survey of five years in Kiphire district, in HSLC exam private schools has pass percentage of 80-90% where as government schools has less than 40%.

Stating literacy as the indicative of education and the education as an indicative of development, he call upon the teachers present to play a dual role of education parents as well as children so that the society is progressive.

Hemant Bhaskar Kamdi, IFS wild life warden Kiphire has also given a talk on environment issues and school children. He also distributed seed money of Rs 2500 to all the schools and a eco club conservation register to all the schools. Rev Fr. Dr Mathew Thuniampral, Rev Sr Philo MMS, Teresa Sote were the resource person for the two days orientation program.
