Wokha, November 14 (MExN): Under the initiatives of the organizing committee of Lotha Baptist Church Youth Rally 2018 and supported by the village councils, churches and public in eight villages of Nyiro range under Wokha district, a mammoth task of repairing the road of 23 km from SP office junction in Wokha Town to N Longidang village is being undertaken.
Y Aben Ngullie, convenor, Lotha Baptist Church Youth Rally 2018 said that the road repairing, including soiling and metaling work, was taken up in view of the forthcoming Youth Rally at N Longidang in January 2018.
He informed that labour and financial assistance were provided by the public of the eight villages. Since there is no black topping or maintenance of the road from the government, the public in general of the eight villages under Nyiro range are facing untold miseries, the Convenor added.
Therefore, in order to have a motorable road for the forthcoming Youth Rally, the organising committee had taken up the task to assist the public. He also said that the repairing of the road will be completed by November 25.
