Mon, April 16 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS has notified the following regulations imposed for purchase of essential commodities in Mon Town with effect from March 27 till further orders.
Maximum permissible quantity per day:
• Rice: 10kg per family
• Dal: 1 kg per family
• Oil: 1 litre per family
• Milk powder: 1kg per family
• Sugar: 1 kg per family
• Tea leaves: 1 kg per family
All the shopkeepers have been ordered for strict compliance to the above mentioned regulations. Any person/group in violation of this order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
