Rs 2.32 crore disbursed under Nagaland’s CMRF

The Nagaland Government has disbursed an amount of Rs 2.32 crore as assistance under the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) till April 20, an official update informed.
The ‘New Initiatives and Announcements’ section of the Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard informed that the fund include financial assistance to - students and people outside Nagaland, Deputy Commissioners and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
According to the Dashboard, the total amount given to those staying outside, inclusive of students and working people, was Rs 34.2 lakh.
A total of 2278 working people have been assisted while 881 students were assisted through their respective Naga students’ Union, it informed.
The financial assistance to Deputy Commissioners stood at Rs 178 lakh while an amount of Rs 20 lakh was given to NSDMA, it added.
Rs 2.11 crore received as donations for COVID-19
According to Chief Minister’s website accessed by The Morung Express on April 20, the CMRF has received a little over 2.95 crore (Rs 2, 95, 91,244) so far.
Out of this, Rs 2.32 crore (Rs 2, 32, 20,000) has been disbursed as financial assistance to various entities.
The balance amount after disbursal is Rs 63.71 lakh (Rs 63, 71,244).
As per the details provided on the website, while the CMRF has over Rs.84.70 lakh as opening balance on March 26, total donations received after March 26 stood at Rs 2.11 crore (Rs 2,11,21,239).
“While every effort is made to project the exact amount, the actual figure may vary due to bank charges, interest accural etc,” it added.

Nagaland to pay Rs 10 lakh for fatalities of frontline workers
Frontline workers include health, police and ULBs personnel
Kohima, April 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Government, on April 20, has announced an ex-gratia grant for ‘fatalities’ of frontline workers’ due to COVID-19 while performing their duties. A notification issued by the Nagaland Chief Secretary stated that the frontline workers include health workers as well as personnel of the Nagaland Police and Urban Local Bodies in the state. All those frontline workers who “suffer fatality due to COVID-19 while performing frontline duties,” will be paid an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh by the State Government, the notification added. The Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also took to Twitter later in the evening to share the news.
