Shamator, April 18 (MExN): The Shamator Task Force for COVID-19 held a review meeting to take stock of preparatory groundwork with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday.


According to updates from the DIPR, the Task Force appealed to the public to remain calm as there were enough essential commodities in stock. The meeting also sounded an alert to all village councils and local authorities to implement proper government guidelines such as proper social distancing, ensuring free movements for exempted service personnel and maintaining the quarantine facilities. It also urged local authorities to make judicious use of funds.


As of now Shamator sub-division has 2 quarantine centres at Yakor and Chassir village which is under the care of respective village councils, village guards and village health committees.


Meanwhile, ADC Shamator Lankonsen Tsanglao expressed gratitude to all the Task Force members/ committees for successfully implementing their assigned duties and also thanked the local bodies led by the Yimchungrü Tribal Council, Public Forum Shamator, and Chamber of Commerce Shamator for their support.
