SKKPP organises family photo day

The lockdown period has brought its share of boredom for everyone holed up in their own homes. But at the same time, it has also enabled families to spend more time together.With this in view, the Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu Padum Pukhuri (SKKPP) in Dimapur has come up with an innovative way to bring families together and share the message- “Happy Quarantine- Where Love Overcomes Fear.”
The SKKPP is organising a family photo competition from April 21 to 23 for all the Sumi families residing in Padum Pukhuri. To enter the competition, participants have to post their family photo along with a suitable Bible verse. The photos have to be submitted to a WhatsApp group created for the same. Vika Chishi, President of SKKP told The Morung Express that this initiative is a way of spreading love, warmth and togetherness of a family. “The idea was proposed by one of our Advisors, who is also sponsoring the prizes,” Vika said.
Ensuring maintenance of social distancing, SKKPP said that the participants can submit their entries from the comfort of their homes. Results will be declared on April 24 at 5:00 pm and the winner and first runner up will have their gift hampers delivered at their doorstep, according to SKKP. “Lockdown period may get boring at times, but through this we can all rekindle our family bonding and get back to enjoying quality time together as a family,” Vika added.
