The Department of English, in collaboration with the Tetso Alumni Network, organised an alumni interaction programme and inaugurated the Tetso Alumni Office.

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 7 (MExN): The Department of English, in collaboration with the Tetso Alumni Network, organised an alumni interaction programme titled “Beyond the Classroom: What No One Told Me About Life After College!” on Tuesday at Hall 1994, Tetso College. The event also marked the inauguration of the Tetso Alumni Office.
The programme brought together faculty, students, and alumni for an interactive session that celebrated learning and experience beyond the classroom.
Five alumni from different batches of the Department of English, Lamneiphal Khongsai (BA 2021), Tonoto Zhimomi (BA 2021), Suthilu Nyekha (BA 2024), Tokyo Humtsoe (MA 2025), and Alila Longkumer (MA 2024), shared their experiences and insights on transitioning from college life to professional and personal growth.
Welcoming the gathering, Chubamenla, President of the Tetso Alumni Network, underscored the importance of maintaining strong ties between alumni and current students, calling the alumni “living testaments to the College’s enduring spirit of learning and growth.”
In her address, Principal Dr Hewasa L. Khing urged students to draw inspiration from alumni experiences and to view challenges as opportunities for learning. She also called for a more collaborative alumni network to promote mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
A Q&A session followed, where students engaged the alumni in discussions on career choices, personal growth, and applying classroom learning to real-world contexts.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Limajungla, Assistant Coordinator of the Tetso Alumni Committee, expressed gratitude to the Principal, faculty, and alumni for making the event a success, describing it as “a homecoming that reaffirmed Tetso’s enduring sense of community.”
The inauguration of the Tetso Alumni Office, envisioned as a hub for mentorship and collaboration, was a key highlight of the day. The new facility aims to strengthen engagement between alumni and the college community.
