Training on housekeeping protocols for quarantine facility personnel

Phek, April 22 (MExN): The office of the Chief Medical Officer, Phek, conducted training on COVID-19 for personnels working in the guest houses, hostels and lodges on April 22 at the CMO Conference hall, Phek.
The training was given so as to sensitize the workers on the proper maintenance of housekeeping protocols for prevention and control of infections at the designated quarantine centres, a press release from the District Media Officer, NHM, informed.
The release stated that Dr Lanuakum, Surveillance Officer for COVID-19, apprised the personnel on the importance of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness at the centres. Importance of social distancing, handwashing, cough etiquette, the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and demonstration on proper handwashing were also imparted, it said.
IEC materials were also given to the personnel to be pasted at the centres. Altogether personnel from the 8 quarantine centres under Phek block attended the training.
