Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur has written to the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner seeking review of the rates of fares for autorickshaws and taxis.
In a letter addressed to the Dimapur DC on Friday, the union stated that the public, especially students, have been bearing the brunt of the significant hike in fares for autorickshaws and taxis which were implemented as per the guidelines and standard operating procedures issued by the DC’s office. Further stating that ‘everything is easing into normal,’ the Union appealed the DC to review the rates of fares and ease the burden of commuters.
