Tuensang DPDB: Solid Waste Rules, SIT probe & rain damage on agenda

Tuensang, September 7 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board, Tuensang held its Monthly meeting on September 7 at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.

After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the Chairman highlighted the members on the visit of Inter Ministerial Centre Team to Longleng and meeting with the team by DDMA Tuensang and their aerial survey of the landslide affected areas of Tuensang, stated a DIPR report. 

Dr Akash Sinha (IPS) SDPO Tuensang also apprised the house on the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up for double employment of Government Employees in the State.

The board discussed and approved the Societies Registration of Hills Development Welfare Society and Haojam Integrated Welfare Society. PowerPoint Presentation on Departmental Activities was taken up by Urban Development Tuensang, where Tinoakhum Longchar AUDO, highlighted few points on the Solid Waste Management Rules 2026, which came into effect from April 1, 2026 in the State. 

The Board also deliberated on the assessment Damage of Infrastructure at Sao Chang College Tuensang and Road blockage due to incessant rainfall in the district. The board welcomed Rulanthung Ezung, District Fisheries Officer and Tinoakhum Longchar, AUDO, District Urban Development to its members.
