Tuensang, April 21 (MExN): Two persons were arrested in Tuensang town for possession of banned drugs on April 16.
According to a press release, Tuensang Police was conducting many raids at different location in and around Tuensang town when it received reliable information regarding possession of illegal banned drugs at Home Guard Colony, Tuensang. Basing on the information, Tuensang Police Station personnel went to the location and arrested one suspected person from Home Guard colony, Tuensang, it said.
The arrested person was identified as Imtinukshi (37), of Yangpi village, presently residing in Home Guard Colony Tuensang. During the course of investigation illegal banned drugs- 3 numbers of cough syrup (codeine/phosphate/chlorpheriramenimeleate), 16 numbers of SP Capsules and 35 numbers of 0.5 Alprazolam were seized from his possession.
According to the release, the statement of Imtinukshi also led to another search at Sector 1, 3rd NAP, Tuensang, during which 8064 SP capsules, 2940 numbers of 0.5 Alprazolam tablets, 40 bottles of Codeine Phospnate and Chlorphenirameni and 4000 numbers of Spasmon (dicyclomine hydroctoride and paracetamol) were recovered from the possession of Yimlongcheshamba of Sangdak village.
Cases against the two persons have been registered at Tuensang Police Station, the release stated.
