Mokokchung, January 18 (MExN): Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles based on specific inputs regarding presence of weapon cache in “general area jhum kheti near Sungkomen”, launched an operation along with police on January 15 at 9:30 pm. “At around 9:45 pm, 2 x .22mm pistols with magazines (one made in USA and one country made) were recovered from a jhum hut near Sungkomen, Mokokchung,” informed an update issued by IGAR (N). The recovered weapons have been handed over to the Mokokchung Police Station, IGAR (N) added.
