AR and Oking Hospital sign MoA on CGHS empanelment of Assam Rifles

In a welcome step to facilitate medical facilities to the jawans and families of Assam Rifles, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Oking Hospital Kohima and Assam Rifles on Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanelment of Assam Rifles was inked here today.  

MoA was signed by Maj Gen Sanjay Gupta, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on behalf of Assam Rifles and Dr. Vikethonyü Kesiezie, managing director of Oking Hospital on behalf of Oking Hospital.  

With the signing of this MoA, the soldiers of Assam Rifles and their families will be able to avail cashless treatment at the Oking Hospital for specialty and super specialty services.  

The personnel will also be benefited in terms of better emergency, ICU and casualty services within Nagaland.  

Maj Gen Gupta in his address highlighted the importance of the empanelment of Oking Hospital with Assam Rifles and acknowledged the step Oking Hospital has undertaken for the benefit of the soldiers of Assam Rifles.  

He hoped that this step would also encourage other hospitals to join in and contribute to the noble venture.

He said that signing of MoA will pave the way for a deeper relationship between Assam Rifles and the Oking Hospital. “Today onwards, the soldiers of Assam Rifles and their families will be able to avail cashless treatment at the Oking Hospital for specialty and super specialty services. The personnel will also be benefited in terms of better emergency, ICU and casualty services, that Oking Hospital offers. No more, our personnel shall have to travel to Dimapur / Guwahati wasting precious time and resources on the process,” he said.

Dr. Vikethonyü Kesiezie informed about the facilities available in Oking Hospital and the high standard of medical care being delivered at the hospital.  

He assured to provide the best available medical treatment to the soldiers of the Assam Rifles and looked forward to a fruitful association with the Assam Rifles.

  Arup Jyoti Karmakar, CMO, 3rd Assam Rifles chaired the function while vote of thanks was proposed by Munulu Hesuh, MO, IGAR (N).  

Col. Jagdeep Bhogal, commanding officer, 3rd Assam Rifles and other officials from Assam Rifles and doctors from Oking Hospital also present on the occasion.
