DIMAPUR, MAY 20 (MExN): A certificate course in Sports Coaching (Athletics) was conducted from May 9 to 19 at Government Higher Secondary School ground. It was organised by Dimapur Athletics (DA) under the aegis of Nagaland Athletics (NA).
Altogether 29 teachers from various private and government schools attended the course. They were trained by professionals from Nagaland Athletics on how to coach students at the grassroots level.
The closing ceremony was graced by Asa Khate, Advisor, DA as the special guest. Bithungo Kikon, President, DA also announced trials and selection events that will be conducted in the following months for State and National events. Invitation for affiliation to Dimapur Athletics for various schools and sports clubs was also announced. The association has meanwhile expressed its gratitude to Abu Metha, President, Nagaland Athletics for his continuous support.
