CTYO, CDADU condemn attack on auto driver

Chümoukedima, March 25 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) and Chümoukedima District Auto Drivers' Union (CDADU) have strongly condemned the March 18 incident in which one Kumughato was allegedly assaulted by two assailants.
The duo, identified as Amir Hussain and Azarad Ali, were later arrested by the police.

In a condemnation note, the CYTO stated that it would not “tolerate such acts of savage aggression on any of its peace-loving denizens.”
Accordingly, it urged everyone to come together and condemn the dastardly act, fervently appealing to law enforcement authorities to swiftly conduct their investigations and deliver the strictest punishment against the offenders at the earliest.

The organisation further highlighted that while Chümoukedima town, one of the fastest-growing townships in Nagaland, has witnessed rapid development and urbanisation in the recent past, there has also been a drastic rise in its population, especially of “non-indigenous people and illegal immigrants.”

The inner-line permit (ILP) is the prime tool to safeguard the interests and stability of the indigenous people, keep influx in check, and discourage possible lawbreakers from entering the State, the CYTO maintained in a press release.

Accordingly, it once again appealed to the concerned authority to implement ILP in the entire Chümoukedima district in both letter and spirit.

CDADU also denounced the "attempted murder" perpetrated on one of its members and asserted that it would not tolerate such acts by these anti-social elements of society.

The Union also lauded the Chümoukedima police for their swift and prompt action in apprehending the culprits and demanded severe punishment against them.
