
Dimapur, March 4 (MExN): The Intensified Malaria Control Project-3 (IMCP) had its re-training of field supervisors for Nagaland which was held at Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) on February 27 and 28.
DAN IMCP-3, District Project Officer, Kishor Dass in a press release informed that the resource included Dr. Moa Jamir DVBO Dimapur District, Asangla, Lab Technician, NVBDCP Dimapur District, Stephen Gangmei, Regional project manager, Khwairakpam Kanta, regional logistical officer and Hirak Goswami regional officer from Caritas India Regional Program Unit Guwahati. The team trained 26 field supervisors for Dimapur, Mon, Mokokchung and Wokha District.
The training began with a short Inaugural programme on February 27 with an invocation prayer led by Rev. Fr. S. Charles, Director DAN and introduction by Martha Dukru DPO Mokokchung DPMU. The training was held with specific input session on Malaria situation in State, District wise status of persons examined, positive cases, Pf percentage, number of deaths, ABER, API, SPR, & SFR for the year 2014-2015 was highlighted through power point presentations.
Malaria Life Cycle, Malaria Diagnosis and treatment, Vector Control methods such as Prevention, Chemical Control, Source reduction, Biological Control. The recourse team also encourages the participants to use IEC materials during BCC activities for better and effective understanding.
