KOHIMA, JULY 28 (MExN): Minister for PHED & Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi held an in-depth meeting with senior officers of Cooperation department at his residential office, Dimapur on July 28. The crucial meeting gained importance in view of the upcoming Cooperation Minister's Conference called by Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

At the meeting, Zhimomi took stock of the various schemes and programs that the department is implementing, especially the computerization of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) and the cancellation of non-functioning cooperative societies.

The Minister also highlighted some of the programs and vision that he has in mind, which will crystallize in the coming days. He again reiterated that “our service is for the public and that our goal is to reach every farmer to the benefits of a cooperative model of business.” The departmental team was led the Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Bendangla Longkumer and Alangla Tonger.
