Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): The Amur Falcons FC resurgence in the Morning Premier League continued today with a decisive 3-2 win over Mustang FC at the Seikhazou Ground on Thursday. With two consecutive wins, the Falcons moved up the table with 15 points from 9 games. Starting the game in a confident note after last week’s win, Falcons pulled ahead with Seyie drawing first blood in 30th minutes to give his team a goal advantage at the end of the first half. Following the restart, Seyie doubled the lead in the 50th minute to give his team a formidable 2-0 lead. But Mustang FC responded well with Lipok scoring a goal in the 71st minute. However, the fate of the game was effectively sealed eight minutes later when the Falcons managed to net another goal, courtesy of Mele. Lipok managed give his team another lifeline in the 85th minutes, but it was too late for the Mustangs to salvage the game. With Friday’s loss, Mustang FC continues to languish in the bottom half of the table with 7 points, just above Silver White who registered its first points on May 3.
