Organizations offer Condolences 

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN): Naga Club President and former Naga Hoho Speaker Krurovi Peseyie passed away on January 11 in Dimapur. His funeral service was held on Tuesday at Centennial Compound, Baptist Church Jotsoma.

Late Peseyie became the President of Angami Public Organization (APO) in 1996 and then went on to serve Naga Hoho as its Speaker in 1998 and later as a member of the Advisory Board, APO. He was among the first group of Advisory Board Members of Angarni Public Organisation (APO) from 2011 to 2014 and was serving as the President of Naga Club till his demise, 

APO: The Angami Public Organisation (APO) on Tuesday expressed grief at his demise and stated that, “…the vacuum caused by his death will never be filled by another.”

He was a visionary, an eloquent speaker and an upright leader, Dr Kepelhusie Terhiija, APO President and Neithono Sothu, Secretary, Information and Publicity stated in a condolence message for its former president and member of the Advisory Board.

The APO extended its condolences and prayed for solace to the bereaved family and also for the departed soul to rest in peace.

NTC: The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) also mourned the demise of Peseyie, who was its former Member Advisor.

“His sudden death is a loss to the Nagas as a whole and created void in the society,” the NTC stated while conveying its condolences to the bereaved family members. The Council also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Keneizhakho Nakhro MLA, 8-Western Angami A/C expressed sadness and shock at Peseyie’s demise and stated that the Angamis and the Western Angamis in general have lost a ‘rare gem’ and a dynamic leader.

“The weight of emptiness and void created will be ever hard to fill and replaced,” Nakhro added.

He also offered sincere condolences to the bereaved family members, near and dear ones of late Peseyie and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
