
NPF Minority Wing mourns
Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): Naga Peoples Front Minority Wing has expressed shock at the demise of Aonungkhum, Secretary NPF Central, former working president Dimapur division, former In-charge of Minority Wing on March 31. “Minority Wing lost a guardian and a seasoned leader of NPF in particular and the state in general. His selfless contribution and dedication towards his commitments will be remembered by one and all,” Bishnu Bhattacharjee President, NPF Minority Wing, Central stated in a press release. It also extended condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Training of poll officers in Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima
Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the office of Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Dimapur, has issued a directive for the training of polling officers in Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima. The training sessions aim to familiarize the 1st Polling Officers, 2nd Polling Officers, 3rd Polling Officers, and Grade IV staff with the necessary procedures and protocols for the electoral process. According to Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, DC, & District Election Officer, Dimapur, the training schedule is as follows: Presiding officers and 1st Polling Officers will undergo training on April 4 at Dimapur Government College, Dimapur, starting at 10:00 AM; 2nd and 3rd Polling Officers are scheduled for training on April 5 at Dimapur Government College, commencing at 10:00 AM. The training sessions are crucial in ensuring that polling officials are well-prepared and equipped to carry out their duties effectively during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
