
Kohima: Postal ballot for absentee voters on April 9 & 10
KOHIMA, APRIL 3 (MExN): DC and DEO Kohima Kumar Ramnikant has notified that the casting of postal ballot by Absentee voters (AVSC-85 yrs and above, AVPD & AVCO) who has opted for voting through postal ballot and are found eligible shall be conducted on April 9 & 10.The door to door casting and collection of Postal Ballot shall be conducted by polling teams along with Micro-Observer and Videographer starting April 9 from 8 AM to 4 PM (First visit). If the polling teams are unable to locate any voter(s) in the first visit, they shall visit for the second time on April 10. All concerned political parties and candidates have been informed to assign representatives on the specified dates in the respective polling station number (Annexure enclosed) to witness the process.
DC Mkg informs on requisitioned vehicles
MOKOKCHUNG, APRIL 3 (MExN): DC & DEO Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phojihas has informed all the requisitioned vehicles under Mokokchung district for conduct of Lok Sabha Election 2024 to report on April 16 from 10 AM onwards at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. Failure to comply with this order shall be liable for stringent action under Representative of Peoples Act 1951, a DIPR report stated.
DC Tuensang directive to arm licence holders
TUENSANG, APRIL 3 (MExN): In view of the upcoming General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 and to ensure peaceful atmosphere, DC & DEO Tuensang, A Zibenthung Kithan has informed to all arm licence holder under Tuensang district to deposit the arm licence along with the firearms at their nearest Police Station on or before April 6. Failure to do as ordered will invite necessary action against the offender in accordance with the provisions of law, informed a DIPR report.
Training on webcasting held in Chümoukedima
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, APRIL 3 (MExN): In view of the Lok Sabha general election, training on webcasting was conducted on April 3 at the DC conference hall, Chümoukedima for Nodal Officers and Master Trainers. The training was conducted for all the districts of Nagaland on online and offline webcasting and highlighted on the uses, connection, a DIPR report informed. The participants were given hands-on training in order to address consistency and deliver message in real time. The resource person for the training was Chotelal Bhagat from Vmukti solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Awareness prog on waste management held in Tening
TENING, APRIL 3 (MExN): The district administration, Tening organized an awareness programme on waste management at Tening on April 1. According to a DIPR report, all the nine wards under Tening Town Council took part in the awareness programme. The importance of biodegradable waste and non-biodegradable waste was highlighted by the Ward Ambassador. The programme was held as part of the follow-up to the awareness conducted by the Nagaland Pollution Board Control.
