On-going construction work of a culvert at Duncan Bosti aimed at alleviating the problem of clogged drains in the area. This had been a major cause of concern for the residents in the vicinity who had complained of stagnant water overflowing onto the road posing serious health risks. Likewise The Morung Express had also highlighted this issue following which the PWD Department (NH) has undertaken the work to construct a proper culvert.

The British team is led by granddaughter of Lt Col Bruno Brown who fought in the Battle of Kohima in the Second World War. As per reports, Charlotte Carty with her three children and 20 fellow descendants will walk 77 miles in 39 hours from Jessami to Kohima to mark the 80th anniversary of the event and replicates what her grandfather and his men did to escape the advancing Japanese. Extending welcome to the visitors, CPO President Vezuhu Keyho expressed best wishes to Carty and her team for their journey, acknowledging their effort to honour the courage and endurance displayed by her grandfather and his fellow soldiers during the war.
