Maligaon, August 29 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava inspected Mariani Junction and Jorhat Town railway stations under the Tinsukia Division on August 28, reviewing infrastructure, cleanliness and passenger amenities.
During the inspection, Shrivastava visited the station buildings, platforms, circulating areas and various passenger facilities at both stations. He reviewed the cleanliness, upkeep and overall condition of the premises and directed officials to ensure proper maintenance and further improvement of passenger facilities.
At Jorhat Town, the NFR general manager inaugurated eight newly constructed railway staff quarters in the presence of senior railway officers and officials.
Shrivastava also conducted a window-trailing inspection of the railway section between Mariani Junction and Jorhat Town, taking stock of the condition of tracks, infrastructure and developmental works along the route.
He advised officials to maintain a strong focus on safety and ensure smooth and efficient train operations.
According to an update, the inspection was part of NFR’s efforts to strengthen railway infrastructure, improve passenger convenience and provide safer and better travel experiences across its network.
