Dimapur, January 12 (MExN): The NSCN (R) on Tuesday conveyed its greetings to the Chang Nagas on the occasion of Poang Lüm.
The Poang Lüm is a premiere festival of the Chang Nagas which marks the celebration of self-sufficiency, the NSCN (R) stated in a press release issued by its MIP.
Usually celebrated during the second week of January and culminating on January 13, it is a post-harvest festival celebrated with folk songs, dances and other cultural extravaganza, followed by feasting and merrymaking, it added.
“As we usher into the new era, may this festival bring about good tidings and prosperity to Chang Nagas so that they may continue to be the frontrunner in every aspect and to be an inspiration to other Nagas,” the release added.
