Kohima, May 4 (MExN): SAI-STC Dimapur continued its impressive run in the Oorja-CAPF U-19 tournament (boy’s category) with a thumping 6-0 win over KV Dimapur on Thursday at the Local Ground, Kohima. Neikedozo Tsira grabbed a hat-trick for SAI-STC scoring in the 18th, 22nd and 61st minute while Monton (55’), Temsunungsang (60’), Heichihang (64’) scored a goal apiece. In the other matches, State Boys Hostel, Nagaland edged State Sports Academy 2-1, while Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima eased to a comfortable 2-0 win over Don Bosco Kohima. State Boys Hostel took the lead through Latminlal in the 32nd minute before Bapen doubled the lead in the 51st minute. However, State Sports Academy continued to press and was rewarded when Purakum netted home in the 78th minute. For Christ King, Ruovizhalie scored in the 33rd minute to open the scoring and Mhaphruolhou made it 2-0 three minutes later. In the girl’s category played at the IG Stadium, Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima blanked Bayavu Hill High School, Kohima 5-0. Vilakhonuo gave Christ King an early lead scoring in the 5th minute and Reena Rai made it 2-0 in the 25th minute. But it was Vetsutalu who stole the show with a hat-trick scoring in the 26th, 39th and 57th minutes. In the other games, Soccer Damsels, Kohima played out a goalless draw with Govt High school, Khonoma while Girl Sports Hostel Dimapur edged Young Girls Club, IG Academy 1-0 with Watijungla scoring the lone goal in the 57th minute. Meanwhile, semi finals for boys will be played on May 6. The first semi finals will be played between State Boys Hostel Nagaland and Christ King Higher Secondary School Kohima while SAI- STC Dimapur will face State Sports Academy Nagaland in the second semi finals.
