Our Correspondent Kohima | May 3 Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) president Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger today released two books authored by Rev. Dr. Phuveyi Dozo here. The books included ‘A Journey of Nagaland into the next millennium: An evaluative study with a prophetic recommendation’ and ‘Salvation beyond religion.’ A book on “A Journey of Nagaland into the next millennium” brings a panoramic and a comprehensive view of the Nagas from their genesis till date. Looking the roads ahead, the author incites Nagaland to prepare for challenges as scientific and modern age, and as a part of global community. Some useful recommendations are furnished to both the church and state toward restoration of Naga values and for a united effort toward a better Nagaland as a common goal. Towards survival and success, an executive summary under 12 points is humbly proposed for favor of consideration by Nagaland. “It is the time for youth to continue the legacy of the past and strive hard to inherit the earth only by a life worthy of the biblical principle, hard work, and having a self-identity in the Creator,” stated author Rev. Dr. Dozo. The author expects the readers of this book to act as a volunteer to redeem, heal, and restore the beauty and value of Nagaland without waiting for another person to act as “we continue a journey towards the next generation.”
