
Kiphire, April 2 (MExN): The United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP), on Tuesday, has unanimously decided to uphold the February 23, 2024 ’Chenmoho Resolution’ in view of the failure on the part of Government of India to fulfil its promise. Accordingly, during a meeting at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire, a decision was unanimously adopted to abstain from any kinds of election related activities, including voting, during the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections scheduled on April 19, the USLP informed. The meeting was attended by the members of United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC), Akehda Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang (United Sangtam Women’s Association), all the Head GBs, GBs, Village council chairmen and members, students' unions and, women leaders of the Kiphire district numbering to around 345 from 45 villages and eleven wards, informed the USLP.
