Chennai, March 5 (MExN): The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai will be hosting its annual International cultural fest “Vibrance 2024” from March 6-9.
Attracting around 22,000 students from across India and abroad, it is one of the biggest and most well-liked cultural and sporting festivals in the country, informed the institute.
International students from countries like Japan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Brazil, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Poland and Philippines are anticipated to participate in the 4-day long cultural event.
Students from Indian institutions like IITs, NITs, and Anna University are also expected to participate, press release from VIT informed.
More than 100 cultural events are scheduled and there will be 40 different sports and games with total prize pool of 10 lakh, it said.
This year famous personalities, including singers Shreya Ghoshal, Jonita Gandhi and Andrea Jeremiah, actor SonuSood and cricketer Dinesh Karthik are expected to grace the event.
Karthik will grace the occasion the inaugural ceremony while Ghoshal will perform on the opening day.
Sood will be the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony.
