
Mokokchung, December 5 (MExN): Mokokchung Art & Aesthetic Management (MAAM) is organising a three-day mega Winter Carnival from December 8-10 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex here under the theme 'Creating Opportunities'. MAAM is a Mokokchung based non-profit organisation which has special interests in promoting and working for the welfare of women and youths in the society, according to a press release from Media team, Winter Carnival, MAAM. The Winter Carnival aims to provide a platform to the Self Help Groups, individuals and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and products. Moreover, the MAAM aspires to create an air of festivity through the Winter Carnival in the town, the release added. There will be different stalls where various activities like food stalls, Kids Carnival, Karaoke, health awareness programme will be held. Stalls will be rented out to interested Self Help Groups and individuals. To kick off the Carnival, there will be an open Carnival Cosplay motor parade competition under the theme ‘Neverland’, where the participants can get creative and dress in different costumes, anime characters, fairy tales etc. The carnival will start from IOC gas station to Imkongmeren Sports Complex on December 8. Winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The release noted that MAAM has been involved in various activities in promoting youth and women in the society over the years. It has organized Miss Mokokchung for 2 consecutive years and has over the years supported various humanitarian causes. With a vision to help out the needy, MAAM launched a ‘Trust Fund for Cancer Patients’ in need of treatment at the IMDH. It also worked for the Cure Foundation Centre for differently abled persons.
