Singh also shared that many students from Nagaland go to Delhi and Bangalore to take management courses and it has been reported that many end up duped into joining unrecognized Universities. “This is because of lack of awareness and ignorance on the part of the students and parents,” he said. Students get carried away by good advertisement from ‘vague institutions’ and later government does not accept their certificate when they apply for a job.
On management job opportunities, he pointed out that trends are changing and companies are hiring people from the local area and not recruiting from outside as the advantages are many. Starting from cost factor, also companies have realized the benefit and practicality to hire people from the area itself he said. Earlier this was not the scene, also many multinational companies are entering the Nagaland market; they need local support and talent. He also shared that it was just a matter of time when government will also start providing management jobs.
